Did You Know?

Shalom Family!

Did you know that for the past year, DOV sisters have been working with the Dovettes (young ladies) on the Fruits of the Spirit? This amazing project has been lead by Sister Eliana and Sister Ebony.

So What Happens?

Each quarter, two sisters take their volunteered “Fruit of the Spirit” and develops a lesson and activity that they’d work on with the Dovettes. So far we’ve had:

Teams Months Fruits of the Spirit
Ebony and Elianna Jan. -Mar. Love, Joy, & Peace
Rebekah and Robin Apr.- Jun. Patience & Kindness
Tremika and Sheena Jul. – Aug. Goodness & Faithfulness
Tiffany & Dana Oct. – Nov. Gentleness & Self- Control

Each team meets with the Dovettes for 1 hour on the 1st Shabbat of the month after class. The first month for each team is spent teaching an introductory lesson on the designated Fruits of the Spirit. This provides an opportunity for open dialogue and the girls discuss real world and personal experiences while the Sister’s help address these topics scripturally and tie it back into the designated Fruit of the Spirit.

The second month, the team does an activity pertaining to their Fruits. The third month, the team plans to do an outing pertaining to their Fruits.

Parents not teaching the Fruits of the Spirit contribute to healthy snacks that the children can eat during their learning time. These activities also spearheaded the cute pink t-shirts that were for sale showcasing the Fruits of the Spirits.

This has been a great project and experience for both the DOV and Dovettes. Great things are happenings at Tabernacle Elohim! Praise Yah!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians, 5:22-23, NASB)

May the blessings of Yah be with you and your family!

  1. I’m so happy to see that so many of the mothers are getting involved to help guide these young sisters in Yah’ s word. What an excellent bonding activity, not just between mother and daughters but also between the adult sisters and young ones. Great job ladies! 🤗😘
