Let Go and Let Yah…

Shalom Family!

Life is BEAUTIFUL and in the midst of the beauty sometimes chaos can exist. Whether at work, in public or at home, circumstances can at times cause us to worry or become stressed. It’s a part of life. Stress has no benefit and it doesn’t solve any problems. In fact, it causes problems….to your health, your peace and sanity.  We’re human so it’s easier said than done to simply say not to worry but you have to try. As Bobby McFerrin sang, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” > cue the music 🙂

I tend to refer to myself as a Professional Over-Thinker and it’s amazing how I can map out a catastrophe….that hasn’t even occurred. Yup, that’s me…creating problems that don’t even exist and in turn making myself crazy in the head from worry. So when I see my mind going in that direction to do that thing that I do, overthinking > stressing, I step back, take a moment and pray.

Prayer is an amazing thing; your special time with Yah to discuss what is on your heart and your mind. For me, I can even feel a release of the tension that I may have harbored as I let go of whatever has overwhelmed me. The problem is…..WE have to learn to completely Let Go and Let Yah. Stop praying about your woes that you want Yah to handle and then go back to stressing over the same thing. Let Him do His thang!

“Trust in Yah with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” Provers 3:5-6, NLT

Many times we find that with all the worrying that we do, in the end there was nothing really to worry about because it all ends up working out…and not because you stressed over it.  I have a diagram that I refer to periodically and it’s so simple that it reminds me how useless worrying is. Check it out:

So you see, there is no reason to worry because it doesn’t solve anything. Talk to Yah. He is ultimately in control and He takes care of His children. Am I worry-free? Nope! I’m human and it’s in our nature but I know who my source is for All things; when I do begin to worry I take time to refocus on Yah so that I begin to worry no more.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to Elohim.” Philippians 4:6, NIV

You can never pray enough so keep praying, ditch the worrying and LIVE your best life. Your life is a gift from Elohim, don’t miss out on it’s beauty by stressing over what you have no control over. You know who your Father is, Let Go and Let Yah!

May the blessings of Yah be with you and your family!
