We all have hopes, dreams and aspirations to do many things. Life goals, personal goals and just general achievements we set our sights for. Sometimes things go according to “our” plan and sometimes things go terribly wrong.
But did you pray first?
It’s great to be determined but don’t be so head strong that you forget who’s really in charge of the plan of all plans. There’s a saying that goes:
”If you want to hear God (Yah) laugh, tell Him your plans”
Basically that saying means that you don’t tell Yah how it’s going to happen. Yah tells, or better yet…shows you how it’s going to happen. You can map out a plan down to the “T” if you want but when it boils down to it…
Did you pray first?
Plans can’t be made with the expectation that Yah is just going to fall in line. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6, KJV
So instead, seek Yah first! Pray for wisdom and direction for the endeavor you would like to embark on. It’s through His guidance that your steps will be ordered, not your own. “Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me” Psalm 119:133, NIV
As you strive for your goals, the path may still be rocky, but Yah knows all and sees all. What you think is not working, is Yah’s plan all along. Sometimes you have to go through things and experience some defeats before arriving at your ultimate goal.
These experiences help build your faith, endurance, knowledge and overall appreciation when the goal is finally achieved. So be sure to commit your works to Yah first. Pray first…
Yah is the captain of this ship called life and as you stay faithful to Him, He will establish your plan. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” 1 John 5:14, NIV
May the blessings of Yah be with you and your family!
